Welcome to our new adventure. For those that do not know us let me introduce ourselves. My name is Alan and by day I support our public safety departments with their IT needs, and my partner in this adventure is Russ. By day he teaches at the local university. Both of us have been coming up with all kinds of ideas to get our minds off of our daily problems so that we can have after work adventures. Our latest endeavor is the world of upholstery with a side of sail making and repair and the occasional canvas repair. Basically we will try anything if it fits in the sewing machine. With this machine, a lot will fit.
This is our new shop, we have been designing and redesigning and now have something to use. It has been fun building and we still have a ways to go but we now have the machine up and running. However In this picture we are still putting it together. It is a new Sailrite® Professional 4‑Point Sewing Machine. You can check it out at the link below.
So now we need a name. Some of the ideas are
RussAlan, a sort of play on Ethan Allen, although we have been called RussAlan for a long time.
