Having invested a lot of time, money, and effort into this adventure we decided it was time to take on a real - albeit self-funded, upholstery project. Purely by happenstance we discovered a lovely little rocker at a local thrift store. The young man who helped us was supportive of our endeavor and let us have the chair for an affordable price. We agreed to donate the finished product to Habitat for Humanity in his name.
We're fortunate to have a family member interested in historical research and offered her the opportunity to figure out exactly what we're working with but at this point little effort has been expended on her part - but we're still hopeful. If she's unable to deliver we'll make up wonderful fake facts to entertain any readers who might be following this.
